Under the municipality of Tuoro there is the Isola Maggiore, the second largest of the three islands of the Trasimeno lake, where, in 1213, Saint Francis of Assisi went and, according to the legend, calmed the tempest with a gesture of his hand.

Teatre of the famous Battle of the Trasimeno, Tuoro is also strategically positioned with easy access to the main turistic attractions of Umbria and Tuscany.

Autostrada (Highway) del Sole - A1 - exit Valdichiana in the direction Perugia. After 23 Km exit to Touro.

By plane
The airport Sant’Egidio of Perugia - then by bus to Tuoro.

By train
Line Firenze - Roma until Terontola. Take the train until Tuoro
